From August 12 to 23, 2022  the ensemble took part in the 36th International
Folklore Festival “FOLK AZORES on Terceira. After intensive organizational and
artistic preparation, the 29 dancers and musicians were able to perform on the 12th.
August to the Azores. The venue for the renowned folklore festival
was the town of Angra do Hero\u00edsmo on the island of Terceira.<\/p> \"\"<\/p>\r\n

In total, groups from 14 countries around the world took part. In addition to the German ensemble
Groups from Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Paraguay, Slovakia, France,
the Ukraine, Lithuania, Hungary, Spain, Italy, Poland and of course the host
Portugal. In several performances, the Dresden ensemble showed a<\/p>\r\n

interested audience and the festival participants choreographies from their
repertoire, such as the Lower Sorbian Freite, the R\u00fchler Springer, Ask the oracle,
Dreisteyrer, Wincerdance and, last but not least, the ensemble’s classic, the Palatinate
Suite “When the grapes ripen in autumn”.
In addition to the artistic presentation, the focus was on encounters and the
Exchange between the groups is the focus of the festival. The
folklore dance ensemble and the French group organized an evening for all
festival participants with convivial dances and music from both countries. One
particular challenge was a public dance challenge in which two countries each
performed a choreography to the music of the other group,itself
