This year, the trip took us to Zvolen, Slovakia, where\u2014as a German group in a folklore tradition otherwise largely influenced by Slavic cultures\u2014we were among the \u201cmost exotic\u201d participants. In addition to performances at the theater and in the town square, where we delighted audiences of all ages, we celebrated folklore late into the night at the lodging we shared with the other groups\u2014dancing, singing, and listening to the sounds of the pan flute.\u2026&nbsp;<br><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"930\" height=\"531\" src=\"https:\/\/tu-te.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7364\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tu-te.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-1.png 930w, https:\/\/tu-te.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-1-300x171.png 300w, https:\/\/tu-te.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-1-768x439.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 930px) 100vw, 930px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After arriving on Monday, we had several performances in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday, one of which was also our competition entry. A dance selected from these performances (contrary to what the program booklet stated, this was not the \u201cDance of the Weavers,\u201d but rather \u201cAsk the Oracles\u201d) was presented at a gala concert held on Thursday evening to conclude the event, alongside one production from each of the other groups. For many, it will remain an unforgettable evening.<br><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"366\" height=\"350\" src=\"https:\/\/tu-te.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tu-te.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-2.png 366w, https:\/\/tu-te.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-2-300x287.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 366px) 100vw, 366px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to dance activities, there were parties in the hallways of our lodging and enthusiastic people shouting in the elevators.
