Last weekend (14.-15.09.2024) our folklore dance ensemble had the great honor to participate as VIP guests at the International Festival “Oblicza Tradycji” in Zielona Góra. We were invited by the dance ensemble from Zielona Góra and were thus able to take part in the event for traditional dances and folklore in Poland.
The highlight of our stay was our participation in the festive gala concert, at which ensembles from various countries (Mexico, Poland, Turkey and Serbia) presented their traditional dances. The variety of performances was impressive and it was a special pleasure for us to be part of this international community and experience the rich culture of folklore.
Another highlight was our participation in the colorful parade, where all participating groups marched through the streets of Zielona Góra in traditional costumes. We were very moved by the enthusiasm and warmth of the audience.
After the festivities, we were allowed to stay overnight in Zielona Góra, which gave us the opportunity to make new contacts in a relaxed atmosphere. We were particularly pleased with the friendly relationship with the ensemble from Zielona Góra, with whom we are planning joint projects and activities in the future.
On Sunday, we returned to Dresden with many wonderful impressions. Taking part in this festival was a valuable experience for our ensemble that we will remember for a long time to come. We are already looking forward to future collaborations and further exchanges with our new friends from Poland.
