The folk dance ensemble won first place in the “German and International Folklore, Historical Dances” category at the 19th “Thüringer Löwe” Open Dance Competition in 2026 with the dance “Orakel fragen.”.

The choreography was created by Thea Maass. On Rudolstadt’s Altmarkt, 16 dancers performed the eight-minute dance before the publics and the panel of judges.
Under the artistic direction of Maud Butter, the ensemble scored 293 out of a possible 300 points, making it the winner of the folklore category. With this result, the “Thuringian Lion” trophy comes to Dresden.

We are delighted to receive this award and would like to thank all the dancers, supporters, and organizers who contributed to this success.
