On 03.11.22 we are starting a new folk dance course for beginners and look forward to seeing you at 18:30 in the old canteen.

Dance weekend with guests from Greece and Greek folklore dance
From October 8th to 9th we had an exciting dance weekend where we also had the opportunity to get to know some Greek folk dances. There was a convivial exchange between the two dance groups.

World Folklore Tanzfestival Rainbow (Elk/pl)
The international dance festival “Rainbow” brought together dance groups from Poland, Mexico, Germany, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Slovakia and Bulgaria. The folklore dance ensemble Thea Maass from TU Dresden also took part. Each group brought their traditions and stories to the stage, creating a colorful mosaic of world culture. We are back on the Altmarkt! Our last appearance on the Altmarkt was before the pandemic. At 27 April 2024 the traditional raising of the maypole by Dresden’s carpenters finally takes place again on Dresden’s Altmarkt after a 4-year break.

Midnight Ball Dresden
The new year began with dancing. The folklore dance ensemble “Thea Maass der TU Dresden” was part of the dance program for the Midnight Ball on 31.01.2024. They entertained around 200 interested spectators with the dances “Winzer” and “Dreisteyrer”.
