World Folklore Tanzfestival Rainbow (Elk/pl)
The international dance festival “Rainbow” brought together dance groups from Poland, Mexico, Germany, Bangladesh, Ukraine, Slovakia and Bulgaria. The folklore dance ensemble Thea Maass from TU Dresden also took part. Each group brought their traditions and stories to the stage, creating a colorful mosaic of world culture. We are back on the Altmarkt! Our last appearance on the Altmarkt was before the pandemic. At 27 April 2024 the traditional raising of the maypole by Dresden’s carpenters finally takes place again on Dresden’s Altmarkt after a 4-year break.
