The members and former members of the folklore dance ensemble “Thea Maass” of the TU Dresden mourn the loss of the longtime member of our instrumental group Heinz Kunert (12.5.1922 – 30.7.2021).
In addition to his impressive career as a dance musician, composer and arranger, Heinz Kuhnert has been closely associated with the ensemble as an accordion player since the 1980s and has accompanied them at numerous festivals and performances. As a true thoroughbred musician, he also demonstrated his musical flair for German folklore by creating arrangements for the folklore ensemble’s choreographies.
We are grateful for many unforgettable experiences with Heinz Kunert and will continue to fill the choreographies he arranged with life.
